Sorry for the huge space in between the picture and my words.
It was to prevent me from looking at the pictures whils typing this.
If you havent already known,

The term trypophobia (sometimes called repetitive pattern phobia) was coined in 2005, a combination of the Greek trypo (punching, drilling or boring holes) and phobia. Although it is not recognized in the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, thousands of people claim to be fearful of objects with small holes, such as beehives, ant holes and lotus seed heads.

I am affected by this.
While sourcing the images I had a really hard time controlling this itching sensation around my body.
I stepped out of my comfort zone to come up with this post, with occasional cursing and swearing. And now I HAVE TO DELETE THE PICTURES OFF MY LAPTOP. SHIT.

Im sorry if this post affects you.
Theres already a disclaimer.

sail

How often do we get to enjoy this view at the back of a boat, ferry, yatch, cruise?
This is so nice, the color contrast of the water.
The sun glistening on your skin.
Except for the noises produced by the motor.
And the occasional splashes of water.

Second thoughts?

Alcohol
Seeing the long term effects of it,
Im having second thoughts about going to bars that often.
If you think about it, consuming alcohol is similar to drinking perfume, hand sanitizer and eating alcohol swabs. This may sound very weird to you. But they are all in the same family. All made with the base ingredient: alcohol.
But I have to admit, its nice when you drink to loosen up or just to get that slight "high" amidst all the stress and problems in our lives, but please, do it in moderation.

END

No, this is not the end of my blog.
I just thought this picture was very interesting.
Having a rainbow and a street sign together,
With the rainbow at the right position
And proper timing and observational skills.

Light Tunnel

This is a candid shot of my buddy Sng Qi Yang, majoring in Screen Media.
We were messing around with a paper holder tool and I decided to snap a picture.

Imagine, What if you were trapped in a tunnel and at the end of the tunnel all you see is a mouth and a nose. Well now we're talking some juxtaposition.

My Chanel is at home

Eyes are The Window to The Soul

"Eyes are the window to the soul"
It says a lot.
Different people see different things.
Your Perception is your reality.
So..
What do you see?

Have it your way

Grilled Chicken Breasts
Scrambled Eggs
Sauteed Mushrooms

Hearty and healthy goodness on a plate.
One of the reasons why I like to eat the food I prepare is probably because I know how much salt or sugar or oil there is in the food. And also there is a high level of cleaniness.
Call me health-conscious call me a clean-freak.
But all in all, health is wealth
I get sick easily though
Thats why

Night Cycling

Getting back on track with fitness,
Cycled from my place over to Marina Bay Sands and back again.
It was a crazy journey to and fro, but my oh my, my perseverance level was so strong (kidding)
Here are some night shots of MBS and Gardens by The Bay.
I find it so stunning.

MORE FOOOOOOOD.

I love the way food is prepared in certain contexts as it is also an artform which takes time to master and perfect. I find this similar to visual merchandisin in fashion due to the fact that orientation and color coordination is vital in order to achieve a flawless look completed with a slick finish. I mean, just look at the presentation of these dishes. i.e. The use of various props like pebbles and leaves and not utilising the entire plate/ canvas, keeping things looking simple and presentable at the same time. I have so much to learn about this.

Toilet Bowls?!?!?!

Disclaimer: Lets not have too much information going on in this post.

Alright as you can see, this is so cool like one of the best things invented in this world, well except for meesua(vermicelli noodles).
I will not be elaborate in terms of how this works. You should try if out for yourself hahahaa.
In short, this toilet bowl washes, heats up, and does really interesting stuff.
I'll stop here.

Slums?

Greetings, over the weekends I headed over to Batam for a mini getaway with my family.
And..... THE ABOVE CAUGHT MY ATTENTION( just like how I caught yours ha...ha?)
Just what am I looking at?
The pictures show a drain clogged up by various articles of disposal garbage and waste.
Honestly there was a distinct smell emerging from it which made me feel like throwing up.
A part of me was hesitant about even getting near this "thing", however the more adventurous part of me told me to go ahead and take up THE CHALLENGE. And so I did, I even set my feet on the plank-bridge ( thats what I call it) and I did not regret a single thing. Okay maybe I did but #livingthemoment

ciao.

CATS

I have always loved cats since I was was young, despite having a couple of bad experiences. To most people, cats may come off as cute, adorable and fun-loving but some may consider it evil, an omen and something relateable to the nether worlds.

I have heard many stories about cats, good or bad. Which is what makes me so interested in these furballs, the fact that rumors and sayings about cats contradict so much gets me so curious and eager to learn more about them. Well of course, I wouldnt be bombarding this space with information.

Just some brief information:

The ancient Chinese believed that the glow from a cat’s eyes could scare away evil spirits.
According to the ancient Egyptians, the life-giving rays of the sun were stored overnight in the eyes of a cat for safekeeping.
Buddhists in South-East Asia thought that the souls of the dead pass into the bodies of sacred cats before moving on to the next life.
A common belief is that cats can see the aura or psychic energy that surrounds the body of humans.

A widespread belief is that cats can see the spectre of death.
In Transylvania folklore (Rumania and Hungary), a cat jumping over a corpse means that the corpse will become a vampire. In 16th century Italy, people believed that if a black cat lay on the bed of a sick man, he would die. A cat sitting on top of a tombstone was considered a sign that the soul of the dead person was possessed by the devil.

Japanese Waves

"Infatuation with Japanese art"

The Great Wave off Kanagawa (神奈川沖浪裏 Kanagawa-Oki Nami-Ura, lit. "Under a Wave off Kanagawa"), also known as The Great Wave or simply The Wave, is a woodblock print by the Japanese artist Hokusai. An example of ukiyo-e art, it was published sometime between 1830 and 1833 (during the Edo Period) as the first in Hokusai's series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (Fugaku sanjūrokkei (富嶽三十六景)), and is his most famous work. This particular woodblock is one of the most recognized works of Japanese art in the world. It depicts an enormous wave threatening boats near the Japanese prefecture of Kanagawa. While sometimes assumed to be a tsunami, the wave is, as the picture's title notes, more likely to be a large okinami – literally "wave of the open sea." As in all the prints in the series, it depicts the area around Mount Fuji under particular conditions, and the mountain itself appears in the background.
(Exerp from wikipedia)

I love how the waves and color combination compliment the various features of this painting. Absolutely stunning bearing in mind the minimalism in it.

 Glass Noodles

Myanmar style Chendol

Hi guys, I am back with a new blogpost!
As you can see, this post will be on food.

So recently, a friend of mine brought me to peninsula shopping centre for a completely new and different dining experience. Basically, we had Myanmar food in a restaurant/cafe located at the basement of the mall, beside the foodcourt. If I'm not wrong, the name of the restaurant should be INLE.

It was a really pleasant experience as the waiters there were very friendly, polite and welcoming which made me feel really comfortable yay. Oh and they were very very very helpful as well. The entire menu was filled with burmese characters which I did not understand at all with "subtitle-ish" stuff below the names of the food. I had a really tough time pronouncing the words which made my friends laugh their lungs out literally panting for breath afterwards.

THE FOOD, was good (in my opinion & it also depends on what you order) I wanted to try something new therefore I had the glass noodles reccomended by my friend. "Mmmmm, tasty"
It was certainly a twist from local cuisine (fishball noodles, meepok etc). Everything in that bowl was delicious. And for dessert I had Myanmar chendol. Whats interesting about this chendol is that they have bread and coconut jelly (agar agar) placed on top of it. Surprisingly this combination turned out sooooo good.

To sum it up, it was a really unique experience. The food was similar to Thai food probably because Myanmar and Thailand are right beside one another. Let me know if you have any other interesting places to dine, leave a comment in the comments section, like this post and give it a thumbs up, dont forget to subscribe to my.... ok nevermind...

Moo-ka-ta

Mookata” literally means “pork skillet” in Thai and refers to the special cooking apparatus create to enjoy both BBQ and hot pot at the same time.
Originated from Chiang Mai, a trough of soup sits on a crock of charcoal and a dome shaped grill is placed on the trough. This allows the smoke from the charcoal to waft up to the grill, perfuming the meat with fragrance.
Isn't it amazing that Asian steamboat has different variations to it and one of them is Thailand's Mookata. I find it different to the usual steamboat dinners we have at home (although at times we may also have the grilling part at the top), but what makes this different is the fact that this uses charcoal and significantly increases the aroma of the meat when being grilled, and also enhances the taste.
As the meat is grilling, the fats get melted and some of ut flows into the soup, making the broth smell nice, and taste delicious at the same time. yumyum.

Definitely worth a try. /thumbs up/

Grenade or Fruit

Often objects get mistaken for other objects; like for instance, the fruit above is actually a dragon fruit. But apparently it looks like a grande and the price you pay for this is expensive.
However, the taste of it is really good- not really sure if it is because of the price you pay for it (and therefore your mind tells you that its delicious), or it just naturally tastes amazing.
$5 for a fruit, would you buy it?
